Fulham snap up Sporting midfielder Labyad on loan

Fulham have signed PSV Eindhoven academy product Zakaria Labyad on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder, who has moved to Craven Cottage from Portuguese giants Sporting, plays his international football for Morocco.

After committing his short-term future to Slavisa Jokanovic's Championship side, Labyad told fulhamfc.com:

"I'm an attacking player, I'm a creative player, I can score goals, and I'm a team player. Yes, I hope the fans will like my football style, but of course the most important thing is to win games.

"I'm looking forward to the challenge of playing in the UK. I'm very happy to play for Fulham. I'm on loan now and I'm very happy to be here."

The 29 year-old Turkey international played for Bury, Brighton and Sheffield United before moving abroad for spells with Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Bursaspor and most recently, Feyenoord.

Kazim-Richards also spent a season on loan with Blackburn in 2012/13, scoring three goals in 28 appearances.

Celtic have also confirmed the capture of 18-year-old winger Patrick Roberts, who joins on an 18-month loan deal from Manchester City, six months after his £12m move from Fulham.

As the pair came in, Nadir Ciftci departed on loan to Turkish side Eskisehirspor until the end of the season.

Burnley sign defender James Tarkowski from Brentford

Burnley have signed defender James Tarkowski from Championship rivals Brentford on a three-and-a-half year deal.

The 23 year-old has joined for an undisclosed fee but is unlikely to feature in Burnley's squad for Tuesday's match against Sheffield Wednesday.

James is a player I have known for a couple of seasons and I’ve monitored his progress from Oldham, right the way through to now.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche said:

He is at a good age and has gained a lot of experience over the last couple of seasons and I feel he can be a big part of us going forwards in the future.

We want competition in all areas and we have been a little bit light in that area all season, so we feel he’s a very good player and an excellent signing for the club, both now and for the future.

Injuries to Jerome Boateng and Javi Martinez left the Bundesliga leaders light on numbers at the back and centre-back Tasci has therefore been recruited on an initial loan deal.

A statement published on fcbayern.de revealed Pep Guardiola's Bayern have the option to buy Tasci - a 14-time Germany international - from Spartak at the end of the season.

The defender, who won the Bundesliga title with Stuttgart in 2007, said: "I'm feeling really good and am looking forward to the challenge. I hope I can help the team."

Bayern director of sport Matthias Sammer added: "He can help us immediately thanks to his quality and experience."

The Bavarians next play Bayer Leverkusen in the league and will later this month face Juventus in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Press Association Sport understands the 25-year-old Scotland international was heading back to Teesside on Monday evening a day after the proposed transfer fell through.

Head coach Aitor Karanka is determined to add firepower to his promotion challengers after missing out on a return to the Barclays Premier League in last season's Championship play-off final.

The Teessiders are also hopeful of sealing a loan deal for Leicester's 27-year-old Belgian defender Ritchie de Laet, who has been used largely as a substitute in recent weeks by the surprise Premier League leaders
