Buses

The current age to avail of free public transport in Northern Ireland is 60, but the department is asking for views on whether it should be raised to 66.

A new £8m plan starts in July and will give West of England residents free bus passes for a month in a bid to get more people using public transport.

The cap will remain for bus services outside London until October 31 after which it will increase to £2.50 until November 30 2024.
