PC Fletcher was shot while on duty outside the Libyan embassy during a protest there but no-one has ever been charged over her death.

The driver of a white Seat Leon, a 65-year-old man, and a 42-year-old woman, who was a back seat passenger in a silver Nissan Note, died following the crash.

On Monday 30 December, the Runcorn and Helsby MP is scheduled to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court, police have said.
