A male in his 40s was allegedly racially abusive to a young female, whilst she was with a group of friends.

The incident occurred at 8:05pm on Saturday 14 September and required both the northbound and southbound carriageways to be closed.

The family of 26-year-old Daniel Sowerby described him as a "cheeky chappy".
