The parents of an 11-year-old boy have taken him out of school due to safety concerns after he was assigned to a secondary school far from their home.

Residents fear it is only a matter of time before a child is hit along a blind bend in an East Sussex village.

He sustained life changing injuries was airlifted off the narrow country road for surgery and was placed into a coma.
