Police are conducting searches of parts of Londonderry after reports of a device.

Screenwriter Lisa McGee, who has won international praise for the hit programme, attended a short ceremony with her parents, her husband and her two sons.

The plans have been criticised by the NUJ and Foyle MP Colum Eastwood, who said it was an attempt to close Radio Foyle "by stealth".
