It is believed that the thieves used a long pipe running from the depot through to a field and into a layby on a nearby road to drain the fuel.

Phillip Andrew Williams, 48, abducted the child, tied her hands together and held a screwdriver to her neck throughout the 12-hour planned attack.

Police confirmed an investigation has since been launched after a father and son were involved in an accident on a farm.
