Flood Risk

Heavy rain and thunder has caused flooding in parts of Birmingham, as the Met Office issues a thunderstorm warning covering much of the Midlands for today.

Government teams have been working with Jersey Met to assess the situation and mitigate risks as much as possible.

Be aware that showers could be turning wintry at higher levels tonight, especially over the Peak District. Chilly and windy, around 2c.
