Plans to build the UK's largest offshore wind farm powering up to one million homes across West Cumbria, amounting up to £3bn, has been put forth to the public.

The proposal includes six wind turbines each 200 metres tall and a solar farm.

The States of Alderney are considering a proposal to have two tidal energy generators tested in the island's waters.
