The Jersey charity Beresford Street Kitchen will close its La Hougue Bie Tea Rooms in November due to reduced funding and higher costs.

Hotels are caught in an inflation dilemma: their costs have risen but hard-pressed holidaymakers are using every trick in the book to get discounts.

The move means tourists from France will be able to visit the islands on day trips using only their identity cards until September 2025.
