Ian Paterson

Inquest hearings into the deaths of 62 women, who died of breast cancer, have heard evidence from a former colleague of the rogue surgeon Ian Paterson.

Paterson is serving a 20-year prison sentence after he carried out unnecessary and unapproved procedures on more than 1,000 breast cancer patients.

Ian Paterson’s surgical practices have been the subject of multiple reviews, an inquiry and a criminal trial.
