Incinerator

A group of MPs working on a report about air pollution is calling for all new incinerator plans to be scrapped over concerns about emissions. 

About 200 people gathered for a rally in Wisbech to protest against plans to build one of the largest waste incinerators in Europe.

The plant will generate electricity by burning thousands of tonnes of rubbish a year, waste which might otherwise go to landfill.
