Greater Manchester Police said the man was 'declared deceased' in a doorway between the Village Chippy and Roadie's fast-food takeaway, near to the taxi rank.

The posters have been spotted in parts of Manchester city centre and falsely declare the area as a 'crack and heroin zone' where drug-use is allowed.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Swan Street, near Shudehill, at around 6am on Sunday morning
