The structure was discovered in Marske, on Teesside, following the storm, prompting speculation it could be from Whitby whaler The Esk, which sank in 1826.

A Cleveland Police officer has been found not guilty of driving without due care and attention.

Officers were called just after 4am on Monday 12 June to reports of three males, who were armed with weapons and wearing balaclavas, trying to enter a property.
