A detective constable serving with Greater Manchester Police suffered a single stab wound to the chest during the incident.

Ahead of the meeting in London, Louise Haigh says she will work to "safeguard jobs and secure a sustainable future" for Hitachi over the coming months.

The Department for Transport has confirmed it is looking at how to support jobs in Newton Aycliffe as part of a commitment to the rail manufacturing industry.
