Oxford Street

Plans to ban traffic from part of London’s Oxford Street have been announced by Sadiq Khan, but the local council is opposed to the scheme.

The street which is over a mile long has earned itself a reputation for tacky souvenir shops and brightly coloured candy stores.

The iconic record shop it first opened in 1921, but was forced to close 4 years ago after financial issues.
