University Of Cumbria

The UCU (University and College Union) will see 70,000 of its members on strike today with every university in the region affacted.

The students have created videos illustrating the history of the Roman landmark which will be projected onto a bonfire at Carlisle's annual Fireshow.

Derek Mawby, 36, from Carlisle served in Northern Ireland and Iraq before leaving the army and returning to civilian life.
