A large bronze statue of the iconic, cheese-loving duo Wallace and Gromit has been unveiled in Lancashire.

Richard Williams, the animator behind hit Hollywood films Roger Rabbit and the Pink Panther, has died at his home in Bristol.

It's been 30 years since Bristol's famous comedy duo Wallace & Gromit were brought to life on screen by animator Nick Park. 

This years Gromit Unleashed 2 trail raised £1.3 million at auction with two sculptures raising £55,000 each. 

The actor was best known as the voice of Wallace and for his role in Last of the Summer Wine.

A firm in Cornwall has created a Cake-o-Matic machine inspired by Wallace and Gromit. And yes it really does produce tiny cakes

Gromit Unleashed fans will get another chance to see the statues as a Homecoming exhibition is planned for later this month.

16 'Gromit Unleashed' sculptures, flown all the way from Hong Kong and never seen before in the UK, will go on display in Bristol. 

The Oscar-winning creator of Wallace and Gromit has warned that the duo may have had their last adventure.

Dozens of giant sculptures of  one of the country's best-loved TV characters will be unleashed onto the streets of Bristol next summer.
