Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team

Volunteers from the Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team and the Great North Air Ambulance attended the incident at Wallowbarrow Crag on Saturday 18 June.

Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team were called out 12 times to Scafell and Scafell Pike, five of these in a single day. The team say nine rescues were avoidable.

This was the toughest of five call-outs in as many hours for the team in Wasdale this weekend.
