New video from inside Congress as it was stormed by rioters shows a splinter group of the mob entering the Senate chamber itself and rifling through desks.

Messages unearthed by ITV News, posted online in the days before the rally, reveal that protesters had publicly disclosed their plans to storm the Capitol.

The US President, who is viewed as a hero by the movement, has previously praised QAnon activists as "people who love our country".
