Despite disruptions islanders have been reassured the storm is "not expected to be as strong as Storm Ciarán."

A yellow warning for wind is in place across London until 6am on Sunday.

A rare red weather warning covers most of Wales's coast as well as the coastal areas of Somerset and parts of Devon.
