Helen Shaw was driving on the A67, near Kirklevington, Yarm, when she lost control of her vehicle after she was stung on the leg.

The young swan suffered a torn oesophagus after a fishing hook became embedded in his neck at Hilton Lakes in Yarm in Stockton-on-Tees.

American bulldog puppies were found in a dog crate in Yarm on 29 December, left by a gang in a black BMW. One did not survive.
