Rowers from Durham sailed to victory this weekend as they claimed two medals at the home World Rowing Cup at Eton Dorney.
They also contributed towards the four golds, five silvers and two bronzes won by the GB Rowing Team on the third and final day of the regatta.
Nathaniel Reilly-O'Donnell won silver in the men’s four alongside Alan Sinclair, Scott Durant, and Matthew Tarrant.
“This is the start of a four year cycle towards Rio. “We are learning a lot and progressing well. It really is a step up for us. It was tricky coming down the course and the umpire held on the red light for a while at the start but overall we are happy with our performance. “We wanted to hear the Dorney Roar and on Friday and Saturday when there were lots of young people here it was more of a squeal but today it really sounded like a roar.”
