Rihanna's tour to hit Sunderland in June

Global music superstar Rihanna is returning to the North East following the announcement of her hotly-anticipated world tour.

She's set to take to the stage at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on Saturday 18 June, 2016, as part of her Anti World Tour.

The Stadium of Light is one of only six venues in the UK, and the only stadium show between Coventry and Scotland to host the Bajan star.

Supporting Rihanna on the tour will be The Weeknd and American rapper Big Sean.

Rihanna has sold 54 million albums and 210 million digital tracks worldwide. The tour announcement coincides with the anticipated release of Rihanna’s eighth studio album ANTI.

Tickets go on sale Thursday 3 December, from 9am, at the Stadium of Light ticket office and from approved ticket agents. A pre-sale will be available for SAFC season card holders and official members on Wednesday 2 December, from 9am.
