The body of a missing Newcastle man has been found in a canal in London.
It was recovered yesterday and has been formally identified as that of missing man Daniel Chapman.
The 35-year-old, from Regent Road in Gosforth, was last seen on February 5 after leaving home. He said he was going to London for the weekend.
He spoke to his family on the phone on February 7 but never returned home.
The death remains unexplained at this stage and report will be prepared for the coroner by the Metropolitan Police with the assistance of Northumbria Police.
