Friends of missing Hertfordshire author Helen Bailey have spent the day taking part in an organised dog walk - in the hope that it will keep the search for her fresh in people's minds.

The 51-year-old was last seen walking her Miniature Dachshund Boris in Royston 6 weeks ago.

Neither she or the dog have been seen since.

Today's event in Royston was organised by local dog owners - including the breeder Helen got Boris from.

Helen, who has had seven-year-old Boris since he was a puppy, is a member of the Royston Dog Walkers group on Facebook.

Six weeks is a long time and we need to be proactive.

We need to keep this in people's minds that Helen is still out there, with Boris.

The Dachshund is quite a distinctive looking dog so if anybody out there recognises Helen and Boris, please get in touch.
