Meet Super Cooper - the one-eyed bulldog with thousands of fans from across the globe.

Four-year-old Cooper is due to make his starring debut in Emmerdale tonight after winning a competition to appear in the ITV soap.

Cooper's owner, Jemma Teasdale, set up his Facebook page 'Super Cooper' two years ago and regularly posts about his adventures and experiences. He now has over 7,000 followers, some from as far away as America, Australia, Germany and Argentina.

When Jemma spotted a Gala Bingo advert for a competition in which the prize was for the winning dog to appear in Emmerdale she entered Cooper immediately.

She was stunned when his fans voted for him to win the competition.

Jemma, who regularly watches Emmerdale, said:

I so pleased for him, he deserves something nice and a bit of a big break.

Jemma, from Consett, County Durham, got Cooper when he was justeight-weeks-old.

He had to have his eye removed when he was two-year-old after contracting Glaucoma.

When Jemma decided to enter a photo of Cooper into the Gala Bingocompetition this year, his followers all voted for him to win.

Cooper came first place and travelled with Jemma in a limo to the set of Emmerdale in May.

They were put up in a luxury hotel, given a VIP tour of the set and meetthe cast while Cooper took part in filming.

During filming Cooper, who usually spends 14 hours a day asleep, had a nap in the back of the limo.
