Money boxes stolen from baby's grave

Two money boxes have been stolen from a baby's grave in County Durham.

The teddy bear shaped items were taken from the grave site at Newton Aycliffe Cemetary, on Stephenson Way on August 17. The money boxes, one silver and one pink, contained a small amount of money.

Police are now investigating the theft. PC Michael Moody, from Durham Police, said:

This is obviously a very distressing time for the family of the little girl.

I would like to appeal to anyone who may know the whereabouts of these money boxes to contact me as soon as possible. There are quite distinctive and someone must know where they are.
