A jockey is in an induced coma after falling from his horse at Hexham races.

It happened during the second race of the day at the course yesterday (Saturday 8th October).

It's understood the Air Ambulance was called and racing was delayed while it landed and took jockey Henry Brooke to hospital.

The Tadcaster born jockey is currently in a stable condition at the RVI.

His Mum Julie Brook runs a small race horse training stable in Middleham in North Yorkshire.
