School children in Newcastle have been carrying out random acts of kindness on Friday to try and be a force for good following Monday's terror attack in Manchester.
Nine and ten year olds from Hilton Primary Academy in Blakelaw gave out cakes and biscuits at the Monument in the city centre.

The Year 5 pupils from Hilton Primary arrived at Monument by open top bus.
While at the monument, they handed out cakes and cookies donated by local businesses to spread kindness.
The children organised the donations themselves by calling local businesses.
