Three drivers injured in Croft meeting crash

Three racing drivers have been injured in a crash at the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire.

Aron Taylor-Smith, Jeff Smith and Luke Davenport were all taken to James Cook hospital in Middlesbrough following the collision at the race meeting.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to the scene to assist with a patient who had suffered multiple traumatic injuries.

Jeff Smith took to Twitter to thank fans for their support and to confirm that Aron Taylor-Smith was 'up and about'. He also sent his best wishes to Luke Davenport.

Aron appears to be in good spirits, smiling for the camera to reassure fans online.

Despite his injuries, Aron wished team-mates the best for the following races.
