Kane Avellano, 23, who hails from South Shields in Tyne & Wear, has been officially declared the youngest person to circumnavigate the world solo by motorcycle, according to the Guinness World Records.
His name will appear in the latest version, to be released at the end of this month.
Kane travelled over 32,000 miles, through more than 35 different countries and across six continents, in under eight months on his Triumph Bonneville.
As part of the adventure, he raised funds for UNICEF, the world’s leading charity organisation working for children in danger.
The youngest person to complete the challenge alone, Kane faced many dangerous situations, including torrential monsoons in India, blistering desert rides in Australia, powerful storms in South America and freezing weather in Europe.
Kane rode without any support vehicles.
Kane is now looking ahead to the next adventure, which he hopes will involve flying and make him the first person to circumnavigate the world by land and air (solo).
