Former Tyne Tees presenter and journalist, Andy Kluz, has published his first book, a dramatic alternative history novel set in the 11th century.
For the 69-year-old, who fronted Network North and later co-presented North East Tonight, the publication of 'Fire of God' marks the end of eight years of work.
Andy's novel tells the story of childhood friends, Alys, the daughter of a captured Moorish horse breeder and Alain, the son of a Norman lord.
'Fire of God' has been a labour of love for Andy, who has set much of the action in Richmond, North Yorkshire, where he's lived for more than 33 years.
He says it's been his life-long ambition to write a novel, and he finally found the time to do so once he retired.
