The Shields Ferry will host music festivals during its Tyne crossings this Bank Holiday weekend.

The Crossing the Tyne Festival has been organised again this year by a group of local musicians to bring free music to fans.

This year, musicians are expected from right across the country and all profits will go to the charity Oxfam.

Performances will take place on board, on Saturday August 26 between 12pm and 6pm.

We’re delighted to welcome the busking festival back on board

“The Ferry is a great backdrop for this event and it’s a lovely bit of entertainment for our passengers.”

– Shields Ferry Manager, Carol Timlin
