Police are searching for an injured man, believed to be in his late teens, after a car crashed into a house in the early hours in Stockton.

At around 1.50am this morning, Saturday 2 September, police received a report that a car had crashed into the front of a house in Rosslare Road, Stockton.

The house suffered substantial damage. No one was injured but two children, who were asleep on a sofa in the living room of the house at the time of the crash, were left extremely shaken.

A member of the public says they witnessed a male, believed to be in his late teens, being dragged from the passenger side of the car.

He's believed to have been injured and had blood on his face.

Another man who is described as being aged in his twenties with black hair and wearing a grey tracksuit dragged him from the car. Police believe that they were then both collected by a black car, which then drove them away from the scene.

Police are concerned for the welfare of the injured male and so far checks with local hospitals have been unsuccessful.

We would like to trace the passenger of the silver Renault Megane as a matter of urgency so that we can check on his welfare.

We are also keen to hear from anyone who may know the identity of the man at the scene in the grey tracksuit as he may be able to assist with tracing the passenger.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cleveland Police on 101.Information can be passed anonymously.
