A North Tyneside wildlife group say they're concerned about the plight of seals living around a local beauty spot after they filmed distressing footage of the animals fleeing, when disturbed by humans.

St.Mary's Seal Watch in Whitley Bay is objecting to some of the ideas put forward for the redevelopment of St.Mary's Lighthouse by the local council, worried more visitors would cause more distress to the mammals.
