Two arrested after alleged assault in Denton
Two people have been arrested after an alleged assault at a block of flats in Newcastle.
Emergency services, including a forensic team and a Great North AirAmbulance helicopter were called to the scene on Tebay Drive just before 11am this morning.
Northumbria Police have confirmed that the people involved in the incidentare known to each other and two people are currently in custody.
A cordon has been put in place around the block of flats.
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service added: “We were called at 10.59am this morning to Tebay Drive at a domestic address. We sent a rapid response, a trauma car, an ambulance and a helicopter fromthe Great North Air Ambulance Service. With the support of a GNAAS doctor, we took one patient to the Royal Victoria Infirmary by road."
