A memorial plaque has been unveiled for a former Newcastle United footballer who was killed in the Munich air disaster in 1958.
Tom Curry, who was from South Shield, played for Newcastle United in the 1920s, before going on to become a coach for Manchester United.
He died in the Munich air disaster, when the plane he was in crashed, killing him and 22 other people on board.
The plaque was unveiled at his former home in Manchester.
Friends, family and former Manchester United players were in attendance to see the unveiling.
