Temperatures improving into the new week

After a cold start, with further snow and icy patches, gradually a change to sleet and then rain as milder air spreads northwards, although when coupled with lighter winds, extensive low cloud and some mistiness. Highs 4°C.


Rather cloudy with further rain overnight. Milder than of late, although slight frost and some icy patches are possible in areas with surviving snowfields, as well as some local fog. Lows -1°C.


A damp start, with mist and fog patches. Extensive low cloud is likely to persist for many, however spells of rain will become more intermittent, perhaps allowing limited late brightness. Highs 5°C.


Less cold and windy than of late, but often rather cloudy, with some limited brighter intervals but also some rain and hill snow. Overnight frosts and icy patches remain possible.
