An investigation is underway following a major fire in York.
The blaze started in the storage yard of the B&M store on Clifton Moor in York and has caused damage to the store.
North Yorkshire Police described it as a 'major incident' but nobody is thought to have been hurt in the incident.
Emergency services were called just before 4.30pm last night and at its height North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue were 10 pumps, two aerial ladder platforms, two water bowsers and a high volume pump at the scene.
Fire crews and officers from North Yorkshire Police remain at the scene this morning.
The area around the store was evacuated and the A1237 ring road between Wigginton roundabout and the Tesco roundabout were closed to allow emergency services to attend the scene.
Smoke drifted across the A1237 road and caused hazardous conditions. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and people nearby were advised to stay indoors and keep their windows closed while emergency services dealt with the fire.
