Police investigating the disappearance of a Teesside woman fear she may have been murdered.

43-year-old Naheed Khan, from Thornaby, was reported missing on June 12 2018, however, she had not been seen by her family for around three weeks prior to that.

Whilst there is no tangible evidence that a crime has been committed, the senior officer leading the case has no proof of life, and has now formally classified it as one of suspected murder.

Forensic officers are returning to Naheed's property on Valiant Way in Thornaby to conduct additional scientific investigations.
