The UK has been granted a new six month extension to Brexit, following late night talks on Wednesday between European Union leaders.

The new date for EU withdrawal day is now 31 October, giving the government more time to secure consensus on a deal and averting the prospect of Britain crashing out of the EU on Friday without a deal.

ITV News Tyne Tees spoke to people at one of the most 'haunted' buildings in the North East of England, Newcastle's Castle Keep, to gauge opinion on the prospect of a 'Halloween Brexit'.
