The colours of the Sri Lankan flag - green, orange and red, will illuminate parts of the city, almost a week on from the attacks. The following places will be lit from dusk today until Sunday 28th April:
- The Northern Spire
- National Trust's Penshaw Monument
- Keel Square
- Seaburn Lighthouse
- High Street West
- Fulwell Mill
