It's one of the highlights of the sporting calendar and this time, it's heading to our region.

In September, the world’s best cyclists will be welcomed to Yorkshire for the UCI Road World Championships, which will include a range of men’s and women’s races. Competitors will range in age from junior to elite, starting in different towns and cities throughout Yorkshire.

North Yorkshire host towns include Richmond, Northallerton, Ripon and Wetherby. Harrogate has been selected as the main competition town. The competition also stretches down to South Yorkshire.
