Police say a man has been left with serious injuries after an incident in Gateshead in the early hours of Saturday morning. (14th September)
Cordons were set up in place in three locations in the Harlow Green area.
Forensic officers have been carrying out investigations and dusting for fingerprints in three separate streets.
Emergency services were called to Flexbury Gardens following reports of a disturbance.
When they arrived, they found that a 28-year-old man was seriously injured.
He is said to now be in a stable condition.
Officers have also released the descriptions of two males and a female believed to be in the area at the time of the incident who they believe could assist their investigation.
All are believed to be between the ages of 16 and 17.
The female is described as white, chubby build, about 5 ft 7 in height with fair hair tied back in a ponytail. She was wearing a black top and jeans.
One of the males is thought to be slim build, 5ft 8 with black hair and a round face and was wearing a light blue top with tracksuit bottoms.
The other is described as slim, about 5ft 9 with fair, mousey blond hair and was wearing a grey jumper with tracksuit pants.
No arrests have yet been made and officers are asking anyone with information to come forward.
