North East musician Sam Fender celebrated getting to the top of the album charts by taking to the stage in his hometown.
His debut album debut album Hypersonic Missiles entered the chart at number one, a week after it was released, and last night he performed to a packed crowd at King Street Social Club in North Shields.
Fender's set included ‘Will We Talk?’, ‘Play God’ and title track, ‘Hypersonic Missiles’ which he dedicated to his mother.
Family and friends all went along to the event, which was organised with music streaming service Spotify. Fender told the audience he wanted to do a short set so he could celebrate with them.
