This Evening and Tonight:

Mainly dry and often cloudy this evening and overnight. Occasional drizzle is possible on the Cheviots.

Clear spells in the east may allow some mist and fog patches. Brisk southwest winds over hills, lighter in east. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Then dry with variable cloud and sunny spells, together with brisk southerly winds. Increasing cloud will bring a period of rain overnight. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Sunny spells and few showers on Thursday, then frosty overnight.

Dry, bright start to Friday, then cloudy with occasionally heavy rain later Friday and Saturday, but becoming drier later Saturday.
