North east singer-songwriter Sam Fender has announced he's having to withdraw from touring due to illness.
In an Instagram post the North Tyneside singer said he'd been diagnosed with laryngitis and "cannot carry on with the tour".
He said: "Absolute nightmare. Got laryngitis and have been instructed by the doctor to stop singing for two weeks, if I carry on I could hemorrhage my cords which would mean being out for months.
"I'm so sorry but I cannot carry on with the tour, we're gonna figure out rescheduling info in the next few days. I've had the best year of my life, I'm absolutely gutted that I have to stop, but I can't bust my voice if I want to keep going.
"Love you all and again so sorry."
Fender had been due to play at venues across the UK throughout December, including two nights in Newcastle on December 21 and 22.
