Family praises 'treasured daughter and sister' as man accused of her murder appears in court
A mother who was found dead at a house in Redcar on New Year's Eve has been named as Stacey Cooper.
Her family have paid tribute, saying in a statement:
"Stacey was a much-loved mother-of-six, a treasured daughter and sister. There are no words to express our sadness.
Liam Murray, 28, from Whitby Avenue in Guisborough, appeared before Teesside Magistrates this morning charged with murder and possession of a bladed article.
The defendant, wearing a grey T-shirt, spoke only to confirm his name, dateof birth and address.
He will appear before Teesside Crown Court on Friday 3 January 2020.
