Three people taken to hospital with burns after house fire

Three people have been taken to hospital with burns injuries after a house fire in Sunderland.

Emergency services, including a hazardous response team, were called to a property on Rainton Street shortly before 11 o'clock on Friday morning.

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.

Shortly after 11.30am on Friday, we were alerted by the fire brigade to a fire at a house on Rainton Street, Sunderland.

Emergency services are at the scene and enquiries are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire."

We were called at 10:40 to a house fire at a private address on Rainton Street in Sunderland.

We dispatched three double crewed ambulances and one of our hazardous area response teams.

We transported three patients to Sunderland Royal hospital with injuries consistent with burns.”
